They failed to catch a domain for me today, I looked tonight and it's not still trying to catch it, does it just drop the name itself when it's taken? just checking.

I know dropcatcher aren't much kop when up against proper domainers. I thought I'd give it a go anyway, oh well that's that project down the drain, luckily as a developer of ideas an alternative always crops up.

Out of interest when did you add the domain? I found that if you add a domain on the day it drops then its hit and miss if their checking it. If you add the domain before midnight the day before it all works good. You will know if this is the case if tonight after midnight it catches it.. however you will probs cancel it and reg it manualy as its cheaper.

They caught me quite a few nice ones recently.

I added it about a month ago, I was just wondering if the system dropped it when it was caught by someone else or whether it never actually kept the catcher in place beforehand.

When domainers used to drop names, how 'kin frustrating would that be if you'd booked the domain for a month, new registrant drops it and then dropcatcher fails to pick it up because it's dropped the bloody name thinking its job is done?

I would imagine it would stop checking once the domain goes to non-suspended (re-registered) for DC to be competitive with the other catchers.

Now theres so few prenoms in a suspended state should mean DC has less to check everyday and guess means they should be more successful.

It doesn't matter, I'll forget I even wanted it after a month. Others crop up.

CHC for all there other faults I always think are very successful. There are a lot more catchers these days, if you want a prime name where they'll be up against the known few then dont give up the day job but you only have to look at "who got what" to see they're still getting a good number daily

I don't have a day job, that's why I do this, people say get a proper job, I say they're having a laugh. I just wondering about the system that's all, I'm sure they're very good and I will find out as I still have a catcher to use up.
