I have my domains list in a db and currently scan through the days drops using DRT to see what's suspended. This is a bit of a pain though and not 100% reliable. Can anyone suggest an alternative way of scanning whats suspended for the day?

Thanks

Thanks Grant but thats the problem. DRT will do a fair amount but my days domains will probably be 2000+ That'll be all co uk's expiring tomorrow to scan for example but only x amount of those will be suspended.

Why not scan only the good ones? You don't care if whhsdsnizzle.co.uk is suspended or not, after all!

Run the list through drt first using the availability (resolve only) option for the whois lookup - that should remove a big chunk of the domains that have been renewed??

Edwin, thats a chore in itself. Going through 2k names every night takes a while. Unfortunately my sql skills doesn't cover the SELECT 'ONLY DECENT NAMES' FROM :D

Grant I do believe I do that already but I find I get about half way through the list and run out of lookups and they return as available. DRT also shows up some as available when they are not anyway which is another reason i was looking for alternatives.
I don't really want to have to keep proxies upto date ideally either.

Yes i'm fussy and lazy. :D

Do you have a TAG? If not the best thing to do is to join Nom as a registar and then get DAC access - that'll give you 432,000 queries per day.

Real time DAC doesn't give the suspended flag names, but Time Delay DAC does, and although it's lower for most people, the quota should be enough for a day's drops.

If you haven't got DAC you're screwed then unless you renew your ip address or use proxies.

Why not just get a drop list from one of the usual sources that already has the renewed domains removed?

Google is your friend! Why not use their traffic & keyword tools to gain some idea of popularity? You can throw a fair quantity into those tools per search.

I have dac access that's what im scanning the lists for. However I dont have many domains on my tag so get a pitance of allowance on the delayed dac.

Who offers free daily lists? i know of one. Would they include all decent names?
