I wopnder if anyone has come across this before.

I have one high traffic domain, getting 1500 hits per day, and another which only gets 10 per day. They both have the same keyword.

They also both have about the same click through percentage.

The weird thing is they have consistently different payout per click rates.

I might get 11c per click on the high traffic domain and 50c on the low traffic.

My understanding of the payout was I got a fixed percentage of what Sedo gets from Google, but this does not seem to be the case - it seems the percentage changes dependent on the number of clicks, or that Google pay less to Sedo dependent on the number of clicks.

Any ideas?

Paul.

It is probably just down to the advertisers that are been clicked on that determine the percentage you are paid, and the advertisers been clicked on through your low traffic domain are commanding more per click.

Hi pmdpmd,

Traffic origin also plays a big role here. If you want to PM me the two domain names, I can ask one of our parking experts to take a look for you.

Regards,

Shaun

I would be very interested in seeing what the explanation of this is. It seems to me that traffic and click value are somehow inversely related - all my high traffic names tend to earn pennies no matter what the keyword.

It has been said over a long period of time that if you have a lot of domains in one account at Sedo that you will get less PPC than if you had 1,2,3, names or so in different accounts that your ROI, PPC, will be much higher .. Example: if you have both plural and singular names in one big account one of those names may be getting 4c a click whilst the other same name might be achieving 10c plus ... if the plural were in another account then both names should be paying the same PPC ... complicated .. yes .. but many people on other forums say that this is fact all things being equal ...

The biggest problem is each different name would require that the Admin contact is different of each and every name because Sedo check and confirm each name listing ... it would also cause a big problem when being paid by Sedo via paypal or perhaps even by cheque.

I dont do it myself because of the work load involved in having to de-list, change admin, and re-list names just to see if this theory holds true .. just to much trouble for perhaps peanuts in the end result ...
