I do wonder if the people using the service are truly happy, a seven day auction, not getting max for the name and then sharing the pot, is it worth it?

As i understand it you only "share the pot" if you caught the domain with domain catch, otherwise its a free auction platform.

pretty good deal imo if you have no script that would be able to catch quality names

I think it's a better deal for those who want to buy good names on the cheap, I don't mind robbing them when have money, just a shame it has to go to a wasted home when first caught. Both names today were caught there, flatsharing and primal.

Where's the domainlore drop catch interface? It sounds like I need to add it to my list of options when I'm booking names to catch...

I think you have to direct your tag to their servers when catching, name has to go to auction with them and you get 50% within seven days if receives adequate bids.

Further to Lee's post, as far as I'm aware Denys is only allowing TAGs to be used if they were registered before DomainLore was set up, and once your TAG is using a DomainLore script + hosting you can only load 1 name per TAG per day.

Correct.
All info available @ DomainCatch: Start catching great domains now!
and once your TAG is using a DomainLore script + hosting you can only load 1 name per TAG per day.
Not really, why would this be limited? It's just that my script works in one-by-one mode, I see no point in trying multiple domains at once as this reduces chances almost to zero.

Sorry Lee, you are not DC client. You are confusing something...

Edit: Just realized you must be talking about your own catching experience..

Lee means he's tried loading one name a time on his script and come up empty :)

With 50/50 odds its worse then 1/5 for 5 names say :)

Was their still five on your list at the point tangerine was caught?

I'd have to find a way of checking. Cant remember, seems ages ago, it went at around 9am I know that so wasnt much time for others to go, I didn't wake up until 3pm.

07:46am actually, so what you say makes sense. @5 that was a good result.

Not sure now, can't recall from error messages, I'm pretty sure had five in that day, three when after kitchenappliances.co.uk I'm sure when I've tried one domain, it's never really worked. Maybe I'm mistaken on all counts, it's been a while.

The way I look at it, yes there are ways of finding out when a domain should drop etc however it's the order of domains also, sometimes it could help by displacing the requests, we're talking a matter of miliseconds, so one push up or down out of order could secure it on the off chance, some will probably laugh as they know more about processes and have better scripts which obviously out perform continually however we take what we can, people don't really share knowledge and until i find someone willing to crack it, have to make do with the level of results I currently get.
