I'm new to buying domains and wondering if I could potentially make any profit from these domains, thanks.

As a rule it is never a good idea to register a domain that YOU wouldn't want or couldn't figure out how to use. The chances are any potential buyers would be in the same boat. If the domains do not have any revenue and mean nothing what is to stop someone registering something else with no revenue or meaning and developing that?

Thanks for the advice :)

Aside from that if you do register a domain you see development value in and nobody wants it there is nothing to stop you developing it yourself, generating traffic to the site, and monetising it. That puts you in a better position to sell it later if you want or keep it as part of a portfolio. Avoid trademarks, new gtld extensions, and typo/misspelling/hack domains - eg d0ma1n.com or carinshurance.com. Good luck.
