This is something I thought about a while back, it would be very easy to log all whois requests via the ordering system and then cherry pick good names that the customers haven't registered within a certain timeframe, but thought it is a bit un-ethical, so never looked further.

With the big registrars, they must have 1000's of unique queries a day, this would be a goldmine of information.
