Some time ago I bought some domain names AND the car registration for the domain name, as follows:

h12.com and H12 COM
h12.org and H12 ORG
l55.net and L55 NET

Does anyone think there is a market in this?
I guess I could have tipped some of you off to now check out DVLA plates available...but I guess thats the risk of sharing ideas.

You got any ideas to share with me?

Indeedy you've posted two messages in the welcome board both asking for advice.

Apart from pissing people off like I do but I dont care, the second biggest thing that pisses people off is posting in the wrong sections.

There is a bit more than the welcome section here.

If you scroll down there is a domain apprasial section to which you ask for advice regarding your domains.

Welcome anyway :)

Right I was nice towards the end so can I be paid now?

The factors that make a car number plate valuable and a domain valuable differ widely, so I can't see any particular value in this, unless you are trying to appeal to the vanity buyer in which case a "gift set" of both might sway it.

I would say you will do better if you just concentrate on buying good car plates and good domain names separately.

Good luck and welcome to the forum.

I own the NJ USA Plate "WEB4NJ" and the domain WEB4NJ.com...

Not sure if the plate has gotten me any business... but it was bought by me for use on the company car, not to sell 8)

Can you imagine everyone driving around with number plates that are their domain names and visa versa, a thieves paradise, look up number plate, countrywide criminal network, nice car, "oh they're out" look up whois, "oh they live there" phone local gang, clear out nice house.

i think thats exactly why dorsetwebs "executive club" failed. apart from those in the know, would anybody who saw a number plate v200 net actually go and type it in???????

better to get get some nice graphics put on the car!

Y584 Whg

Hi,

I'm thinking of changing my name by deed poll to Y584 WHG - it'd be cheaper for a prestigious car number plate AND domain name.

It'd make the tax mans life easier if we all had a unique name - and EVERYBODY wants to make the tax mans life easier surely?

;)
