i sure many would like to know this.

Does affiliate advertsing work, say it be affiliate link, banners or parking..

if so what do you all think is the best way to make your domains earn.

would be interested to know..

Good question! I would have asked this myself sooner or later. I am wondering how best to monetise an adult domain i have that's getting 150 uniques/day...

Yes affiliate advertising does work. If you have a website that offers good content that attracts qualified visitors searching for particular products or services then affiliate marketing can earn you good money.

agreed.

and

No affiliate advertising doesn't work.

I have tried some high traffic natural type-in domains, redirecting them to the affiliates sites and I have had much, much reduced revenue compared to parking.

It takes time and effort to make it work.

Kieron is an example that shows that it can work supremely well if you put in the time and effort.

But it is no guaranteed success.

I agree with the hit and miss

check out the sites below i spent ages on the lingerie one with limited success but the popped was cobbled together over night and outperformed the other 2 in 3 months but died again just as quick.

Time i think is the important factor and all the associated SEO stuff - new content, continual keyword changes etc etc.

Parking is regular as clock work and no maintenance which gives you more time to concentrate on more profitable domain sales - instant wins

Amazon is the only affiliate that has worked for me - using a deep product linking script.

All the others take quite a bit of time to make a decent site out of for little or no results.

I have had great success with one of my original sites...no type-in, but very very niche. This gave me a chance to use my seo skills and got top google slots for loads of keywords. In this particular case, i was earning decent (relative!) amounts through various affiliates. Deep linking is essential, you need to present surfers with all the info on your site, and then click here to buy - which takes them directly to the purchase page of that product. Anything less, and the chances of converting are greatly reduced.

The thing i am struggling with is converting adult traffic...that seems v hard!

Hi,

Laskos, I am positive that affiliate marketing is a money maker, i haven't been doing it for long and have made no substantial amounts from it but at the end of the day affiliate sites help people find what they are looking for just like search engines, if you need loans then a loans comparison site is excellent, ask youself this, why did yahoo buy kelkoo? affiliate marketing is a money earner.

I am very new to domain parking and will find out the hard way if it makes me any money.

Many Thanks

if your domain names are good then parking pages might develop as much cash as an affiliate. Use affiliate to generate traffic and links for inferior domain names.
