WWW,
what the .......?
Looks like Bush's Police are moving on from banning the Gambling sites onto Adult. Having a word in the ear of all the major dn sites.
This is perfect for you. There will be only one place to get sales & adult sales results....DNADULT.COM
You need to make a big thing of this about who's disallowing it on your site.
Not as weird as Afternics decision, but too much of a coincidence.
I can understand not printing 'some' of the names. LOL

cheers, Pred :-D

From reading Ron's comments above, it seems to me that he is simply saying that no publisher can really be held responsible for the content of external sites, since it is beyond their control (content can be changed without warning). This is a typical disclaimer used by many news sites.

I am sure he does look at sites before accepting advertisements, however.

Seems like a misunderstanding. Ron is a very well respected member of the domain community.

Hi James,
I agree, Ron is a lovely bloke & Dnjournal is one of the best written sites around, i love it!
I am reading between the lines though. This happening at DNJ, DNF are doing the same with tms etc (good idea actually), afternic have gone for a complete cull too. All in the same week?
Obviously Icann & the Bush Administration are preaching to the world again & pulling everyone's strings. Watch them dance. LOL ;)
We are all agreed stopping violent stuff, illegal stuff, tm breaches etc, all good ideas. It can only help make things more professional.
Problem is it 's like evreything, they always go for overkill & normally end up shooting the good guys!
Which is what it looks like in this case.
We normally follow the US into all their mistakes so it won't be long! LOL
For the life of me i can't understand banning mainstream Gambling & Adult. (Afternic)
If they ban it, i hope they remember what happened during Prohibition! LOL ;)

I think it's ok to have a gross domain name and point the sick fkers to adult pornography instead.

saves someone using it the wrong way.

Hi Predator,

I'm not sure you can blame ICANN or the Bush Administration for the action taken by a few privately owned and run companies. In any event Bush's party lost power last week. I think this is simply a long overdue clean up. I can see from the various forums, domains caught, etc, that the majority of domainers are into porn and other adult stuff but deep down people know it's wrong and it's not just child porn and violence that harms. All porn corrupts and we all know that children do get access to this stuff. I dearly hope that these decisions lead to a change for the better in our industry and on the internet in general. But I don't hold out a lot of hope.
