Directory Website For Sale - £14,298 In Just Under 2 Years.

Hi All

I have a directory website that has made £14,298 in just under 2 years.

All revenue is generated by business listings and they are all renewable after 12 month. So far every business has renewed of 2011 listings, some with 10% discounts. I would like to sell this site to free up some cash to buy more names.

I’m looking for some advice on selling it please, such as how I value it?

A huge factor in valuing a site like the one you outlined is the amount of work required to generate the revenue. For example, if it's an hour a week then the numbers look fantastic. If it's an hour a day, well that's 7x worse. And so on...

Another thing to consider is how protected is the traffic (I'm assuming the businesses are listing on the site because it gets traffic that's attractive to them). For example, is it 50% Google dependent? 90%? Etc.

Lots of things go into valuing a business that's throwing off a steady income stream, but in your case I believe the above are probably the two most significant.
