delete a .com

@ Julian, not sure what it's like at other registrars, but at Dynadot there is a delete button for .coms, it then goes on a delete waiting list for 30 days before they delete it, presumably other registrars have the same delete function?

Send an email to the original registrar if they don't let you do it online, but yes, you do have to go through a 30 day deletion process, and deleting an active .com/.net domain outside of the (now not free) 5 day grace period (which still exists) means that it has to be put into the deletion cycle that expiring domains go through, what's why it's 30 days.
