Im selling DebtBuddy.co.uk, looking for £150.

The website is a simple content website with information on various ways to get out of debt (visit the site to see all content). All content is unique. I recently also installed a blog and directory but they have never been properly developed/promoted. The websites main traffic comes from google (best search term is 'get out of debt'). The traffic levels are very consistent and visitors are highly targetted.

- online since May 2006 (properly developed in April 2007)
- current pagerank 2 (was 3 for long time, dropped in recent update)
- domain recently renewed, regged until March 2010

Over the last 12 months the site has made $200.80 from adsense and £20 from affiliate sales (2 debt leads from affiliatefuture merchants). I've had a few enquiries about selling text links but have always declined, ive kept the emails so you could contact the sender to see if they are still interested.

Stats attached; awstats 2007, awstats 2008, analytics 2008, adsense for previous 12 months, G sitemaps keyword rankings

Buyer to pay nominet fee. PM me any questions. Thanks, Chris.

I like it mate, nice site

I'll give you your asking price, can you pm your payment details to me (paypal prefered)

Cheers

Mally

Hi mally, ive only just read your post. Frank (domainseller200) had emailed me and we have done a deal for both the websites Im selling. Sorry mate.

cheap as chips....

Yes, I guess the interest shown means an auction might have been better!

Hi Satch

Life is shit, I replied to you 13 minutes after your post. Sorry to be picky but things like thing spoil this forum.

when did you get the PM ?

Hi Mally

I was already in the process of buying the football site from him (after I saw his post which he done at 11.48am) and then I saw his second post about the debt site and I started chatting to him on email about that and then agreed to buy the 2 of them.

Sorry mate :(

I'm not 100% sure of the forum rules, the way i understood it was i was the first to post in the thread where the sale was offered and I offered the price wanted.
that is the fairest way to do it,

Theres no point making a post offering a domain for sale with a buy it now price.

Any mods care to comment

I can't see anything in these at all, http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/faq.php?faq=vb_faq#faq_sales but It wasn't done underhand at all mate. Looking back at the situation we just got "carried away in the moment" as we were already talking on email about the sale of the football domain etc and I offered to buy both off him.

Sorry again but it wasn't my intention to cause aggrevation and obviously it wasn't satch's either :)

Im afraid I disagree, the seller created a post offering the sale and named a price. The domain name should have been sold as soon as the named price was met, the fact that he didn't keep an eye on the thread created makes this annoying, I've bought and sold domains on here and have never had a similar experience. Things like this show the benefits of sedo over forum sales as people can chop and change their minds as they see fit and can seem to get away with it.

Ok well we will have to agree to disagree as I have also bought 100's of names from here and others, with lots of people who will back up my reputation.

Again I am sorry and it was not done to cause any grief :)

I apologise again Mally, ive tried to reply to each part below.

For a start I dont think you're being picky as I would be frustrated as well, so ive explained everything here.

the seller created a post offering the sale and named a price. The domain name should have been sold as soon as the named price was met

True, but we were already discussing the football site, quickly after I had made the debtbuddy thread Frank then said would I sell both together. So at that time to the best of my knowledge that was the first offer for the named price, not yours.

the fact that he didn't keep an eye on the thread created makes this annoying

I do keep an eye on all my threads, Im going to be making money from it so its in my interest! I cant keep the post permanently open and be refreshing it every 5 minutes to see if someone has bid, this simply isnt practical. But I do find out instantly when I have a new email.

Things like this show the benefits of sedo over forum sales as people can chop and change their minds as they see fit and can seem to get away with it.

Yes it does show one of the benefits of sedo. But at no point did I 'chop and change my mind', if Id accepted your offer and then said 'actually, no im going to sell it someone else' then I would understand, but I never changed my mind once.

I accept the blame for this situation happening lies at my feet because I should have clearly stated how I wanted people to make offers, I didnt consider this situation would happen, these were the first websites Ive sold. So I apologise for it occuring.

Im not here to make enemies, in fact its good to build relationships so I hope Ive explained everything sufficiently.

Hi

Thanks for taking to time to reply.

Lesson learnt for myself also. As I mentioned above theres no point adding a thread and giving a buy it now price if your not going to monitor the thread. Select the option that sends you an email when a reply is added.

My main concern is if you had sold it prior to my offer, why not say that on the thread prior to my offer and not 3 hours later.

I didnt know about this, I will look for it next time I start a thread, thanks.

This was only because Frank was paying via direct bank transfer and I was waiting for the money to come across (both have HSBC accounts). As Id never spoken to Frank you can't be to trustworthy straight away so I didnt post 'sold' until the money was in my account. I guess I should have said Id done a deal for both and if it fell through then the site would be yours, instead of waiting for the money.

Hey domainseller

Wanna sell it? Or improve it's value by adding some lead capture enquiry forms?

We are the highest paying finance network in UK... Im sure you know who we are from A4u. ;)

Setup is easy and all you need to do is choose one of our pre-written forms and insert it into your site. (Or you can use your own. :) )

I would look forward to working with you.
