I grabbed this expired domain just because I liked the look for it not dot.info but d0t.info

Can anyone see this having any use or value?

A .info I know I know but its a pretty one! :p

If you want my honest opinion, then no, not a lot of value.

My sincere advice to newbies is to be very, very selective about regging new names. It is all too easy to go on a regging spree, end up with some fairly poor names, and a large renewal bill in a year or two's time.

Do a lot of research, and try and find undervalued opportunities on quality names. Do not reg names that are "quite good" or "near enough".

If you want some more resources then PM me.

Rgds

Thanks for the advice, I knew this one was a little risky when buying it.

May do something myself with it :)

I do have some half decent ones such as curtsied dot com and luceys dot com

I understand the initial appeal of people registering the Zero as a substitute for the 'O' but it isn't sensible

Just Try saying it 'D Zero or nought T'

A few years back I regged a couple of them myself never even got a bid at DL for

0o0 //couk (even pictured the zero 'strike-through') looking like a couple of eyelids - Certainly wasn't on anbody elses wish-list thats for sure

welcome to forum, saw your intro post

tbh this domain is horrific, don't take offence being honest for your own good
I am actually prob one of the few on this forum that actually owns some .info
whilst not great some are useful
you can buy on reseller real 3 lertter .info domains for as low as low $xx if you hunt around that you can find a real use for or resell (hopefully)

I think you are right at the very beginning of your domaining journey
be prepared for lots of ups and downs

for the time being do NOT register anymore domains, I don't think you can be trusted
I have regged some howlers in years past so just trying to help

when you have read all posts on this forum in a few months look around on the aftermarket (forums) for some good domains going cheap
best place to start then

good luck

Wow, 3 mistakes in one domain name.

1) Never use "0" to substitute for "0".
2) "Dot" isn't a commercial term
3) You're setting yourself up for constant confusion (even if it were correctly spelled) because the domain would have to be pronounced "dot dot info" which utterly fails the radio test.

Pred's advice is good. Stop wasting money until you know what you're doing. Reading (and asking questions) is free apart from your time, and registering worthless domains doesn't get you any further anyway...

Thanks guys I will stop buying domains and stick to making arcades for now lol, It was only like $2 or something.

Thanks for the advice, I will get reading :)

The summary being 'Zer0s' d0nt even make for a chanced. d0t.c0m ;) Let al0ne an inf0

Sadly not. Where's their COMMERCIAL potential? There is none...

Luceys is a forename and/or surname, it could easily be the name of someone’s shop/store or company.

curtsied I bought this to start a girls games site but then found a better domain, could easily be something similar I guess :)

Isn't it a l33t domain name (you know in h4ck3r parlance) :)

I don't see any resale value either.

Study the market carefully, look at what sells and why. But you've already received a few useful hint: domains should be commercially viable.
