Does anyone know how to get in touch with D Frankland - he picked up a .co.uk name on the drop last night that I'd like to talk to him about.

Yes, it was phab, I was going to suggest to him that he might like to donate it to the charity phabengland.org.uk - it stands for Physically Handicapped and Able Bodied.

regging a charities domain is just harsh...

It's generic and an altenative for fab, not harsh at all!

If they reg'd the org.uk with the intention of preventing that specific charity regging it then maybe. But this does not appear to be the case and anyhow they already have the url phabengland.org.uk:D

Phab has good google results, a popular name.

I have to agree with domainz

.org / .org.uk were meant for non-profit making organisations

.com / .co.uk etc are fair game

Gingerbread co uk dropped the other day and it had quite a high OV with ext. Which could only be due to the charity associated with that name. Its a bit low in my opinion.

So there couldnt be a recipe called gingerbread? After all there is a gingerbread man. So I would expect many parents searching a way to make "gingerbread"

I saw phab was avaliable and thought about purchasing it and then donating it to the charity. Instead I was lazy and I just sent them an email telling them the domain was avaliable to register.

I checked the next day, and by then it had gone.
