i have just been looking for a domain and it was registered (whois)under a web design house and not for the owner(i:e nokia/co/uk belongs to nokia uk not bob's design company),now if i register there new product can they contact nominet and remove it because they are contracted to build a site for this multinational and not the company that owns the trademark?

Not quite sure I follow you:

1. A trademark domain is registered by a web design agency under their own name
2. They are building a site for the trademark owner
3. *You* want to register another trademark domain from that same trademark owner

The question being - can the web agency (who do NOT own the trademark) get Nominet to pull it?

Hmmm. I would assume that the actual TM owner would need to comaplin really, but I know that anybody can complain if a domain's details are wrong and get it pulled, so I'm not sure.

yeah it does sound useless,say you purchase a domain like nike/co/uk and all the other domains in the sequence i:e,nike2/co/uk,nike3/co/uk are taken but under the whois register it lists the web designer not nike,can nike pull the name even though the rest of the domain sequence are not registered under there own name in the register?,i can tell you more if i purchase the domain and you will understand better but until then i can't say anymore.
