Well I've looked at acorn during football matches. World news events and even while the gadget show is on. And there is always plenty of people on and posting. Even on a Saturday night.

Apart from tonight that is. Eurovision song contest night lol

Hope your all enjoying your Eurovision parties hee hee

lol
I don't watch tv fullstop
have a vast dvd collection, so we watch movies when we fancy a particular one.
rather than have to pay a tv licence and be broadcast at and watch ads.
I'd rather have a frontal lobotomy :)

as far as eurovision, surely noone watches that shite anymore lol
I couldn't even be arsed to watch england game at my mates

it is thrilling enough to check result online that takes 5 seconds of eurovision and see sweden won with 372 points and humperdinck got 12 points, overall ROFLMAO

we should have had wagner :D
(i actually hate myself for knowing who he is)

It does seem pretty odd that it costs fortunes we never come anywhere anymore and absolutely no one I know watches it or cares about it???

Is it maybe a thing run just for national tv companies like the bbc?

In fact please no one answer. The least said the better.

Eurovision was one of those efforts that cropped up in the post-WW2 era, designed to encourage us all to be one big happy family. Nowadays it's so much past its time, it should be put down or shot. At least Greece never won it, otherwise we'd have all picked up the tab for that next year!

No matter how good or bad the acts are, the scoring is all influenced by countries with their own agendas, voting for pals, so no chance for us lot, seeing as the Brits have been the outcasts for years.

At least with that other (more entertaining) euro-project, 'It's A Knockout', the winning teams won on their own merits. Come back Stuart Hall. For all of you under 35, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iKmk5LATCs&feature=related

agreed, on all of that :)

loved it's a knockout

My country has never won Eurovision and, being tiny and neutral, it's unlikely to ever benefit from political voting. Having said that they go absolutely crazy for it heren with street parties and everyone glued to it. It seems a shame that generally the countries that don't care win or engage in political voting to ensure other winners. Agree that the quality of songs is appalling though.

Its a knockout was fantastic. It only died when they tried to make it more slick.

I always think of its a knockout carrying drinks back from the bar lol

Being back Stuart hall +1

yep, I love Naff and eccentric
stuart hall was /is a crazy bloke but a good egg and was perfect for it

loved the music too

as far as eurovision, we used to watch as kids and everyone watched it in the street and talked about next day
but has had it's day
prob 15 years ago at least

too kitsch
now if they made it more naff, that would be great

someone like wagner to get through to represent uk without having been on shit like xfactor etc
to have naturally got through eurovisdion voting rounds as entry as an unknown, some goofball like him would be amazing lol
