Hi all, I would like to start putting up small mini sites on some of the domains I have rather than parking them.

I am a complete non techie newbie to this however (and have no programming knowledge at all) so would appreciate some tips on the best way of going about this.

Is it to use templates or would something like XSitePro be the way to go?

Any advice on getting started would be appreciated.

This is an open book really I mean from my first experience I looked at a website and copied it I used to right click to view source and then copied that and pasted into front page.

Then I could see what was what and how things worked or reasonably anyway.

Templates are good if you mean HTML but photoshop templates would require a lot more work as usually they are aimed at having a backend (admin) or other functions.

I would try and find some free templates from somewhere loads on the net available and putting up a page.

A lot of professional sites around are usually mysql run such as most of the gambling sites but what I always do is if I'm come across a website that I like and its in competition with me.

I add it to my folders under competition and whatever the field is say betting.

Sometimes I whack up sites without worrying too much about SEO which is bad really.

So in some respects dont try too rush before you can walk as sometimes you can fall at the first hurdle.

Also dont buy too many domain names to start with as your be spending money after money and not making money.

Also dont go expecting results over night as that very rarely happens, it takes time and patience and sometimes a lot of luck.

Dont put your urls in full format either until your ready too launch as search engines will go there find nothing and wont like it.

Theres a few more but minds gone blank
