It was first registered back in Feb 1997, and was an official government site until 2000, which is probably why it has 270 inbound links (Yahoo siteexplorer), and a current PR of 4.
Sub pages, such as 'Restaurants' have a PR of 3.
The city has a pop of 420,000, and the metropolitan area has an population of approx 630,000.
On Google.co.uk, if you search for Colorado Springs it appears on page 1 - just. However for one of the top 50 largest cities in the US - page 1 is a good start!
