Hi,

dont know if this is posted in the right place but here goes....

Its number 1 or 2 for 'cheap cruises 2013' (flicks between the two), and earns on average £45-£50 a month from adsense.

Ive been thinking of selling.

1. Ive sold domains before - that transfer process is easy, but how easy is it to transfer a website to a new owner?
2. Any idea how much its worth.
3. I cant be doing with the BS type of selling that goes on over on flippa, so what other sensible ways are there to sell it.

Thanks in advance

It's easy enough to transfer the website, just get all the files and email them in a zip folder or whatever.

Value wise, depends on loads of things, but since this is more than likely only going to last till 2014 it might be lower than what you'd think.

By the way, is the content on that site all unique?

Thanks for the advice onthe website transfer. Didnt think it was that easy! Cool!

You are of course right about the site earnings going up and down. It started earning £5 or £10 early last year and then steadily increased to the £50 per mth that it is now (and its still increasing).

Theres a couple of unique articles on the site but its mostly stuff from articlebase/ezinearticles etc.

I also own the next 3 or 4 years worth of 'CheapCruises" style sites so if i dont sell up i will just use this site to link to those new ones (when i get round to creating them!)

So is flippa really the best place to sell this??

No offence, but it's only a matter of time before your rankings drop if most of your articles aren't unique. Surprised that you're ranking so well considering a lot of your content is from ezinearticles and so on.

And personally, I wouldn't like to sell anything on flippa but that's just why I think :) heard a few horror stories about it, plus if you're a new seller people mightn't trust you too much which means they won't bid too much.

Edit - sites are down at the moment.

Believe me i know all the theories about duplicate content not being good for a site, but this site has been at the top of google for over a year now, plus this is just one site of many sites that i do the same thing on ie copy paste articles from other sites and they are all doing pretty well and are all in the top 3 on page 1 of google for the keywords im going for and all earning a similar income from adsense!

Im sure google will catch up with me one day but until then its a strategy im sticking with as it works.

I agree with you about flippa. Think i'll steer clear for now.

If its top for your desired associated term and has been for a year or so then it shows the money is not there, Yanks may go for them more as a bigger cruise market, I would say keep them and use them for linking the other years the amount you’d likely get wouldn’t cover the work you’d need to do to get the other years to list…

Of course theres not massive money in this term but i did my research beforehand and choose wisely! I know i cant compete with the big boys with their big budgets - so i figured id focus on the smaller terms that had little competition and make it earn its keep!

I think £50 profit each mth for a site that ive spent £6 on (and probably only a total of 1 days work on!) the whole time ive owned it is pretty good tbh!
