CC.me.uk still available...but?

Just incase no one knew.

There's a quite a few CC.me.uk's left to reg.

1and1 use to let you reg 2 Character domains unlike most other(123-reg etc) but have stopped letting you.

ATTENTION!

* The domain name you entered is too short.​

So 2 things, anyone know of a registar that still lets you reg CC.me.uk's and why do you think they have dropped the idea of CC regging?

I'm guessing that you can't reg them anywhere now -

This domain cannot be registered because it contravenes the Nominet UK naming rules. The reason is:

third-level domains may not comprise two alphabetic characters.

I think you can probably still register them if you contact registrar directly, i had a problem transfering some NL.org.uk to 123-reg and i sent a support ticket and they were put into my account quite quickly.

LN.me.uk NL.me.uk less than 3 weeks ago i did a quick search and their were 100+ of them and have reggd some with 1and1.

They have only just stopped LN NL domains been reggd.

Very strange. I've searched for a few and notice that Heart and 123 Reg have been used for these domains in the past, but won't allow them today. The first company I have found that allows it is UK2.net, but there may be others.

November last year ICANN approved single character registrations for .COOP

So yes you could have A.COOP and that's it, don't anyone get to excited
You must be a CO OP and have to send a written EOI ( expression of interest ) and if more than 1 EOI for that particular domain name then there is a 3 month evaluation and the CO OP which shows they can best use that domain name will be awarded this.

If anyone finds a registrar for CC.me.uk please let me know ?

I think you are okay with LN and NL.me.uk but not LL. Anyone tried a direct reg through their tag? I have a load of NL and LN but maybe they have stopped them, although whois doesn't give the warning like it does for LL...

It's LN.me.uk and NL.me.uk domains that UK2.net are allowing the registration of and not LL.me.uk

I'd watch out for any fees that UK2.net may charge to move a domain away from them though!

Thanks for pointing that out although i am already well aware Thankyou, i never suggested LL are available, it's LN and NL i tried but UK2 gives an auto result for domains and doesn't show anything till you enter a 3rd character
