Didn't you have put.co.uk for sale last week at £1k?
Well, well, well, bwl.co.uk was the domain being falsely advertised on Sedo recently at 200 GBP.
When I offered the asking price the seller countered with 5000 GBP.
Unlike the seller I do have some scruples so won't be making any offers here.
that's the way it works,he comes back with an inflated counter offer and you go higher than your original bid, looks like had you offered £500 for the name you would have secured it, not unreasonable IMO
A lot of people submit names in bulk on Sedo and £200 was probably the default setting for minimum offers from my experience.
In my opinion it was usually Sedo's fault not the sellers for allowing it to happen.
Um, no, the 200 is advertised as the 'Seller's Listing Price' on the Sedo site and as the seller's 'Desired Price' in my control panel.
Seller's Listing Price
So I am at a loss how you can think it is 'reasonable' for someone to then come back with a 5000 price, in my opinion this is simply dishonest.
If it had been originally advertised at 500 I would have offered that although based on my first experience I would not be surprised if the seller then countered with 12500.
Greywing, I'd have agreed this may have been a defence if mine had been the first offer but there had been several offers before mine. So to me this shows the seller knew exactly what price was being advertised and that this was a deliberate decision by him/her.
Er, this is a sales thread chaps?
