Personal: Broadband speed, Getting started online
BT has announced this week that faster broadband should be on the way to more members of the British public as the company extends the roll out of its ADSL2+ service across the country. This should translate to faster broadband speeds of up to 20Mbps for around 80% of the UK by the end of 2011. Although it is likely a number of customers will not see speeds that high because of external factors, the upgrade will be significant - particularly for those based in rural areas or those on “up to 8Mbps” packages.
