Picked this up in an auction (transfer pending)

I'm aware it's technically not the correct spelling (should be bonnenuit), though people still seem to have it that way and it's got 8100 exacts across US, France and UK.

What are people's thoughts? I see potential in a brandable here, especially something that helps you sleep.

Thanks

When you say "technically not the correct spelling", it flat out is incorrect, even if some people may make the mistake.

But at the same time it's not "wrong enough" to be a "brandable" i.e. it doesn't look like somebody's deliberately created a brand by jazzing up the spelling - it just looks uneducated. As such, I don't see any value at all.

If you look through some of the Google results for "bon nuit" you'll see they are full of discussions from people asking what the expression means, followed by other people correcting their mistake! For instance https://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071005201801AAJSHHo

Thanks Edwin, truly appreciate your feedback.

Even if it is incorrect, as two seperate words they do exist, so could be viewed in that context ie not saying 'goodnight' but 'good night'

At least one company has built a brand on it using the hyphenated version as well.

"nuit" is feminine in French, never masculine.
