after a bit of bid/counterbid tennis i have a final offer on this domain via sedo

i won't colour anyones opinion by saying how much but if you owned this domain (for 9 and a half years), what would you sell it for?

i've downsized my portfolio massively but this is one i've kept as i think its a "good" name, but kinda out of touch with market values nowadays

the sedo buyer has just joined - literally joined in september and the offer thread started in september, and has no other buying activity that sedo is showing me

so looks like they signed up to sedo in order to bid for my domain ???? (or A domain, at least)

thoughts?

cheers

Jim

Pretty much, How long you have owned it for is irrelevant - The Biking push though is still on the Gain. As for the domain sounds like a biking domain for those with extra-long-legs. If it's genuine interest, I'd let go for anything that covered my investment bet

i always imagined a site for a big motorcycle retailer, similar to what cargiant is for cars!

there is a bike make Giant, just googled, £2600 for a push bike - if i could get half that for the name i'd be overjoyed!

i'm wondering if i should open a public auction at sedo, it's an option they provide with the offer being the start and reserve, sells to them if nobody else bids (excuse me if i'm grandmother/suck/eggs) i don't want to p him off, an obligation to buy at sedo means nothing i've found

i've done it a few times years ago and they always went to the original bidder at the reserve, so i don't know if its worth it

i'm including the rights of reg to the .uk so he is from cargiant wanting to branch out, they're getting a bargain!

I can't see cargiant wanting the domain or any warehouse/supplier giant (it's chalk to cheese) Unfortunately wishful (latched-on) thinking makes for so many wasted domain registrations these days - yours is just another example of wasted money - if you genuinely have an offer (take it) because seriously your not going to convince anyone here of any value

i've accepted his offer, you're right when you say 'take it', he's obviously got something in mind for the name, and i doubt anyone else has so a public auction would do no good

i'm not trying to convince anyone of anything, just asking!

i used to sell a lot thru sedo, but this is only the 2nd this year and i'm aware that (other than a few people buying the .co.uk to get the .uk) the arse has fallen out of the uk domain market, so i should be thankful of an offer, any offer!
