I'm trying to get a list of benefits of a good generic name. Below is what I have so far, would appreciate your input!
- Easily remembered
- Quickly let's customers associate your company with what you do
- Short generics are less prone to typographical errors
- Can aid in better PPC CTR's - as per Edwin's test
- Can aid in better SEO rankings (does anyone have any actual proof of this? Links to blogs etc?)
- Puts you in the same league as other larger companies (B&Q - diy.com, British Gas - house.co.uk, etc...)
Anything else obvious I've missed?
