Hi all,

I want to share a situation happened to me yesterday, I Have requested a catch yesterday at Drop catching Domain Names forum and got too many private catchers they all booked the name for me but then a few hours later 3 other catchers contacted me and mentioned that they only chasing one name but free to chase if I'm looking for other, anyway it seems suspicious to me, first no one booked this name at all available public drop catching websites and suddenly people came out and show interest in the name.

anyway, I have known from someone that there are a few members on here who controls or influence multiple tags so while you were booking the name with one person they are then sharing with their network.

I don't want to mention any names or accusing someone, even some of the people i'm suspecting was helpful to me in the past, I might be wrong but I only want people to be more careful.

Hey Meslam, I'm one of the people who messaged you in the evening which is when I noticed your wanted thread.

I did open my message to say i will be free after the one domain I was chasing that day has dropped. We established it was probably the same domain after our messages as it started with the same letter. I'd had that domain loaded since last week when I created the weekends drop lists, I probably saw the same value in it that you did.

Nothing more going on here, I have zero connection or affiliation to the people who caught the pair other than I know they are members of this forum.

If you start a "is anybody free to catch" thread then get upset when people who respond to you might actually be chasing that same domain already then I'll certainly think twice about messaging you in future.

Anyway just wanted to clarify that from my side seeing as you made reference to those who messaged you that day.

First, the issue is real and we have resolved the situation and I got the .uk from a private catcher.

I don't want to mention any names or go into details but there are some people who control numerous tags, share domains between each other, so by contacting them you alerting them to a domain they didn't notice.

I only messaged because it was the only domain I had been chasing that day so thought I could help you out had it not happen to be the same domain.

Infact I'd been chasing that domain since midnight; 10 hours before your wanted thread.. I can show you the logs if you like And i'm definitely no psychic.

No worries, it's normal that as I see potential value in a domain there are chances that others have seen it too and I'm sure 90 percent of catchers who contacted me is an honest people.

also, this post not meant to accuse anybody of wrongdoing, I only meant to warn people to be more careful with who to share domains with.

Fair enough, I probably would be cautious of alerting people to which domains you hope to catch too except for those you know you can trust. Seeing as you started this thread I just wanted to give you my clarification that I had no notice from anyone prior to messaging you, I simply saw your "is anybody free to catch thread" and thought i'd reply seeing as I had a quiet chasing day. I don't have a network of people giving me a heads up or anything like that.. Obviously I can't speak for everyone that messaged you.
