:confused:Yep . And why does the British domain market struggle to even fractionally emulate the very successful GTLD market.

Perception - It's not about just promoting "shit terms" (as above) but the same 'holders' are the 'dominators' of everything worthwhile. I find it really strange to always come across the same registration details time and time again.

Theres no such thing as a healthy .couk market and even what was is diminishing by the day - One day someone will (quite rightly) take back all the Nominet awards

I have made a steady profit for the last year from selling domain names. It may be a little slow on here at times, but that's just the reseller market there is plenty of opportunity for end user sales, I've made several end user sales in the last few months that have made me a tidy profit from my £5 registration costs.

Why do you find it strange to come across the same registration details? If your referring to old registrations then fair play to the company/individual for getting there when they did. If your referring to catches, then again well done that person for having a good script.

tbh Bailey I have read your post 3 times now and I am still not sure what your point is?

Are you saying you can't believe the domain mentioned in the title has been put up for sale on DL because its a) not a very good name or b) should be marketed to end users?

I'm not sure why you always need to compare the global domain market to the UK market.

If I have read your post correctly - and I think I have - have you seen some of the shit that people try to sell on dnf/namepros?!

lol I love baileys post, acorn is like one flew over the cukoos nest sometimes :D

It also reminded me that a basketball hoop is probably something we should buy lol

OK - I was on a mission last night. I honestly believe that those that operate purely in the UK namespace, do not understand just how poorly it's viewed Globally or indeed at home.

Our 'super efficient' UK name capture systems are creating diminishing circles. And if you don't understand the point I'm making - Then I'm sorry.

Are sales declared today - the difference in price 3% to 97% should start to paint a picture. And I had no idea that such a fair example would emerge today when I posted yesterday. Yes they are .coms but try not to be too detached from the global picture of our market if you really want to understand where it "may" be heading

Caz - I love that film -

Sometimes my posts may be over the edge - but I make a very, very succesful living at following my logic, Even when I can't get the same points of logic across to others

lol don'y worry Bailey, I know having spoken to you a few times that you were Jack Nicholson and not a true inmate

No problem bensd.

Some people scrape by - and some not at all.
And Indeed a localised market (.org in UK by example) can prosper well inside other traditional markets - But, there is a price for that dilation

My intent is to try and educate those that may be blindsided - lets not forget I have a significant interest/investment (above 60%) myself in .co.uk (sometimes wish I hadn't)

I used to own that domain, and about 150 other ones like it.

I survived (just!) off the profits from selling them for about 6 months.

I wouldn't do it again though, they were hard work to sell.
