The cheapest i've seen is around £23.99 for 1 year , are they worth entering the lottery for ?

Is a .co more relevant to the uk only ? or will it become popular in the U.S ? i cant see a price on godaddy , so i presume its more of a U.K domain name.

Whats your thoughts on the pontential value of a good .co name ?

Nowt todo with the UK. Waste of time and only cash made will be TMs/typos.

IMHO its a cybersquatters heaven, only ones getting rich are the registrars and registry!

aaaaah , thank you , so what is .co all about , the way 123reg seem to be shouting about it , its some kind of .co.uk with out the .uk , so what is the real intention of a .co , is it for another country ?

.co the code for Colombia i believe

I'd have

loans.co
mortgage.co
insurance.co

et al if they were floating about unwanted.... but if I had spare cash I woudl rather have .con for the typos....

$368k (or is it £'s) for the application and if successful everyone's a parking page... ;)

I'd leave personally unless you have a trademark to protect....

I think it is a money making thing. On the other hand if you can get cute words then they might worth something.

If you want to get into that sort of stuff, the .mp domains are good value. Otherwise, the .co lacks a "W" and it is a cash cow!
There are some attractive .gy domains available, but the reg process is very elaborate, if you want to avoid paying an arm and both legs ... whatever.
Google sees most of them as "furrin". Remember there is a lingo implication with any geographic type domain. You don't really want to sell in Spanish, do you?

Anyone ever mention the highest risk occupation in the world?
It is being a first class football referee in Columbia.

WTH, it is very hard work running the 9 miles that the average ref covers in a match. You can never deliver your best performance wearing a bulletproof vest ...
