I am looking to streamline my domains and have listed about 100 for sale here

http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/uk-domains-sale-wanted/6972-60-co-uk-domains-sale-listed-prices.html

with little sucess.

I would appriciate some views on which names are worth selling and what sort of price i could expect when selling to other domainers.

I dont want to give the names away, but i do have quite a few to shift and i think once i can get a few priced and sold the rest will follow.

Thanks in advance
Decon'

wow thanks for that, did not expect anyone to put values on all of them..

but glad you did ;)

interesting to see some prices went down, but some went up....

anyone else have any comments on my prices or denchomskys valuations?

I think the problem you have re selling names at the lower end of the market £XXX is that they are generally variations of a keywords and some variations are free to reg.

for example eroticfantasiesonline.co.uk is free to reg.

Why not try developing a few - with traffic they are much more interesting to buyers imho.

I think these are the best ones in your list:

aromatherapy-oils.co.uk

bondagemovies.co.uk
buildmuscles.co.uk
bulkemailing.co.uk

calmingmusic.co.uk
coolscripts.co.uk
couturedesigns.co.uk
cultcinema.co.uk

diyforbeginners.co.uk
domainnameexchange.co.uk

gamemagazines.co.uk
governmentconspiracies.co.uk

They each convey a clear concrete concept, they convey it immediately - I know what they mean without thinking about it - and there's an easily-defined set of people who would benefit from the concept in some way, whether to buy it, learn about it, look at it, or whatever.

In the case of names like corporatesite.co.uk, it's clear what it means, but it's too generic. There's nothing concrete I might expect to find when I visit it: a corporate site, but whose, what are they offering and how do I know I want it?

So I would focus on these, plus any others like them in the rest of your portfolio.

Valuation-wise, I can't help you because I don't know. I can guess, but that might not be helpful. Ask yourself instead who you want to sell them to and how much you want/need to sell them for. Those questions are far more useful than a guess, and come with the added benefit that you can think of a good answer to them. Combine the two answers and you should have a valuation.

The easiest way you could increase the value of your domains and the likelihood of their being sold is not to post them in a long, unformatted list. It doesn't do them justice and potential buyers won't spot the domain they would have wanted. Post a few at a time (~5), group them by category or highlight every other one, any sort of format that would make it easier to pick out individual domains.

...Fantastic 1st post Truffler, with what seems to me good sound advice. :)

Out of interest (and if you don’t mind me asking): What’s your area of expertise? ...It sounds from your post that you probably know quite a bit about marketing.

there are a few names in the list i have been thining about developing but i have 100's of names i am keeping which need to be developed :)

was just looking for a quick sale ;)

thanks for all the replys very helpfull... going to list a loads of names for £50 a go later.. and keep the others for development ...

I didn't intend my post to annoy anyone so I'm sorry if it has.

denchomsky's the star anyway for the valuations posts.

Re your question, sneezycheese, how about if I said that I'm a junior domainer with 0 trades to my name? :)

Reputation rises depending on the person giving it, the sudden rise could just be due to someone with full reputation points approving of his post.
