Held this name for eight years now and will prob/possibly develop something oneday, I was wondering your general thoughts on the name/word. Ideas, value whatever...

You could set up a minisite for this add some content and then I think there is one or two education companies that do affiliate schemes.

Value is very debatable its obviously a nice one word domain but depends if you have had any offers for it in the past or not.

A domain only has value if obviously someone wants to purchase it, if you havent had interest in eight years then probaly a low valuation.

If you can get some sign ups for a zoology course then that might be some nice money probaly taking £50 or more in commission.

THNQ for that suggestion. I did have on offer on it a few years back for 10,000 GBP, really wanted to do something then! Still sitting so I will oneday

I would honestly keep the domain but looking at your hosting charges

I pay £5 for two years for .co.uk so looking at a rough figure

£40 plus maybe £10 - £15 extra from some hosting for 8 years from higher prices you might even look at an extra £30.00.

So lets say £70 for 8 years chances are you've probaly paid more but use this as an example.

Now you get offered 5 grand tomorrow or a grand then you've made money.

The domain is under construction but not even in google and I'm not checking other search engines at 3am.

Not sure if you have it listed at sedo but you have nothing saying zoology for sale on your page which has probaly messed up your chances of a sale.

If someone offered me say

virginatlantic co.uk or dot com for sale and it wasnt listed in google or other search engines for example for a grand.

I would think ok why isnt it, and can I get it into search engines?

If someone cant make money from a domain name and if its not in search engines, is it really worth the money some are charging for the domain name?

Ok fair enough you do get people who think thats a good name or I can make money from that, but if a domain name is dead can it really be brought back from the dead?

For eight years you could have probaly had number 1 in the search engines from a simple page or two pages or maybe 10 at most.

You have one listing in altavista nothing in google, nothing in msn
