Hi all, i heard about a new financial product today, i assume it's just in the UK for now, but basically the main banks have been taking the p**s with their overdraft charges which has given birth to a new type of financial product and business which has been referenced to as a 'Flexible Overdraft' or an 'Online Overdraft' they charge less for the overdraft and will run alongside your normal current account.

I only heard about it today and i've regged a load of domains i think would be relevant, not too many searches on google at the moment as it's a brand new concept but I think this could be a brilliant financial product to challenge the banking monopoly and overcharging of our overdrafts!

Here's my domains i've regged:

flexible-overdraft .co.uk
flexible-overdraft .com
flexibleoverdraft .co.uk
flexibleoverdraft .com
flexibleoverdraft .net
flexibleoverdraft .org
flexibleoverdrafts. co.uk
flexibleoverdrafts .com
onlineoverdrafts .com

So what do you guys think? Have i just lost a load of cash or do you think i could have struck a little chunk of gold.

Don’t really know if it’s a viable thing I suspect not though. Sometimes its not a good thing regging the org or net the hyphenated plural singular etc completely controlling the market so to speak unless you think one buyer is going to want them all or your going to develop them ?
It can be an advantage if someone else can reg a net org if they do and develop you have a potential buyer for your com co.uk? . Some registers allow you to cancel and get your money back. Maybe just keep the top TLD and cctld?

I know i'm taking a bit of a gamble on it as it's a brand new idea, but i think most people will agree it's an excellent idea in theory, although the company Frodo Finance will only be drip feeding this product out as their criteria seems to be that you must be over 21, earning over £21k a year and must have an unblemished perfect credit history.

My thinking is to grab them all now, as it's still very early days for this concept it'll only be domainers that reg these domains, so they'll only end up on a parking page anyhow so i thought why not and just did the deed.

Anyone else with any views on these?

I'm not sure how this description differentiates from a regular overdraft. All overdrafts are flexible up to the agreed limit - paying interest only on that portion borrowed.

And with the sort of criteria for borrowing that you've stated any bank would probably grant an overdraft facility

I only heard about it yesterday via a money website thingy, but it seems like it's much cheaper than a standard bank overdraft, i've not applied for one of these but it seems like if i got their standard rate and had the same overdraft limit as i do with my bank at present, i'd save £10 a month. This is the idea of one of these flexi overdrafts from the sounds of it, to have an option of someone other than your bank to get an overdraft from and to pay less for the service.
