Hi all,

I bought some one direction tickets, and in the rush of the 15 minutes they were available, we managed to buy too many.

They are for 2014, and you can list them on web sites like getmein seatwave etc, but my question is, does anyone actually buy them before you (me) get the actual tickets in your hand, which is only a month before.

Anyone ever sold any so early?

Yep they do.

I know it's done on ebay anywho

Thanks for that, had a look at ebay and it seems a company called stubhub is theirs, so you get listed on ebay and their web site.

Thanks

I used to sell a lot of tickets.
Advertise now and send them the copy of your purchase confirmation. Always add £5.75 and send tickets Special Delivery.

Or.......
Take a punt. Do not sell yet. You will get Waaay more for them as soon as you have them in your hands and it is a last minute scramble to get tickets.

The only downside to this can be if the promotor suddenly decides to add another 2 or 3 nights.

Best markup I have sold have always been for wrestling.

.

If it's any help stubhub is huge in the US. All kinds of tickets for every event possible. So safe and reliable for tickets in US.

Do some events in the UK expect the name on the ticket to match ID? Or is there a way to transfer? Or do you have to pretend to be that person for the 5 seconds that someone looks at them?

Hey thats a good point, they may have my names on, but ticketmaster who I bought them off do sell through their own resale sites so it must be ok lol

Think I will do what scooter said, sell and just supply proof of purchase.

You will see me on here next year trying to shift them probably, or taking the girls twice.

I think it's so risky now to buy tickets on ebay. They basically list tickets for sale for a concert 9 months away and you then get an E-Ticket which is a print off. You could basically sell the same ticket 500 times and no one would know better until the day of the concert and were talking big money for some.
At least you ued to get a card ticket with a hologram on. I could photoshop an E Ticket!

I agree you have to be careful...

Went to purchase some tickets for the o2 the other day.
On the website it states that the event is "ticketless".
Basically you pay and then require your credit card as a pass to gain entry.
Makes sense... First time I've seen this. (prob been around for ages though)

Was surprised to still see tickets for this event available on Seatwave.
No idea how that's supposed to work?
None on eBay though - I guess that's the idea.

Would definately be weary of buying any second hand tickets from now on.
