This is a site that gets between 300-500+ UVs per day and is on page 1. Google for the term. It's been monetised to date using Amazon widgets, but the conversion rate has been disappointing. :(

Anyone else use the widgets from Amazon and get decent results?

I've just finished adding a shop integration to the site and I'm pleased with the end result. Will drip in more products bit by bit and I hope this improves commission.

This area seems hard to monetise and I'm going to try several other ideas and affiliates in the new shop. I'd welcome any ideas, thoughts or comments though.

Thanks. :)

Ive used Amazon widgets on a few of my sites in the past which to be honest didnt amount to anything! I swapped them for EPN and had good results.

One site (Now sold) i had amazon widgets on (Nery very low earnings)! Swapped them for EPN and consistantly earned 150-250 pm

Cheers suggys. :)

I recently applied for E-Bay affiliation and they rejected it. Not sure why as I'd have liked to try them.

Great thanks. I don't have much experience but with my only site, I tried amazon, eBay and google affiliates. Amazon brought me nothing but I manage to get around £30 each per month from google and eBay. So going off that one example, admittedly not a lot, I got a little disheartened with amazon. Yet I've read online that others have done well with amazon. I am niw looking to build more websites and was thinking if it is worth building some of them as amazon stores. Has anyone had much success with amazon?

Why bother with Amazon stuff, I might have another idea for you.

Offer a service where you design a personalized cartoon character for your visitors based on their photo or ideas.

Plenty of people offer this service on Fiverr.com for $5 so you could offer it on your site for a 10GBP or more.

All you have to do is add a Paypal payment option, ask your visitors what they want and to add their picture if required.

Then order a gig on Fiverr.com and sent the finished work to your visitor.

Easy money imo and I bet it makes better money then selling stuff from Amazon.com

Good luck.

That's actually a really good idea, and there's a good chance that it'll work on that site.

I love that idea too, it has so much potential with gift cards and CafePress personalisation. They could even print it out and take it to a supermarket to be turned into a cake.

A lot of people get rejected from EPN, there was a guy on A4U who you could PM and he'd sort it.

On your existing shop I would change the curly font to something easier to read. I know why you have done it in keeping with the site design but it doesn't make shopping very easy.

Did you try it?

Not yet - will do though soon, not enough time in the day! :)

I finally got accepted to EBay affiliate network on the 2nd application.
