Amazon Associates - Do orders show up immediately?

I added some Amazon affiliate links to one of my sites towards the end of last week, and I can see I got clicks but no reported revenue as yet. I was just wondering if it's wishful thinking and I haven't had any orders yet, or if they will only appear in my account after they've been sent out or it goes past the return expiry date?

You have 2 sections, one shows what orders have been placed and the one below shows what orders have been despatched. Commission shows on despatch

My main bug bear with Amazon is that they don't update in realtime.

I quite like waiting till 12pm to see how the previous day went. My problem with AA is the lack of any detailed or analytical reports.

As an update, I've removed my main Amazon links from the homepage of my site; I've kept some affiliate links and product listings on the most viewed pages though.

I only had one order despite lots of clicks and it was completely trashing my Adsense earnings so I've put stuff back to how it was and my Adsense has gone back up. Might experiment with it more in different niches, I really like the fact that you can be paid in Amazon vouchers.
