Whats the quick way of adding a domain to my nominet account. I have name that I wish to transfer but its not in my online nominet account. How best can I transfer this name?

If it should be in there you will probably need to do a password reset, that should refresh the list.

I do not know how to get it in, when I sign into my account, I only have about 3 names in there of the hundreds that I have.

Or the third possiblity is that somethings gone tits up at nominet which isn't unusual :)

I dont get it. I have only ever used one of two email addresses for all email addresses associated with domains. I did have an old hotmail address, but this should have all be updated on all my 100's of domains years ago with the move to HeartInternet from 123. I just don't get it...

If you want to you can pass it onto my TAG I will query it to get the admin email address for you and then pass it back over. Or I guess you'll need to ask the registrar to do it for you.

This was the issue in March and response from HI

"Hi Brett,

I have been looking into this further for you to ensure we sent the correct details to Nominet.

It looks like we have sent the correct details and the account contact has been updated but the old emial address is still held by Nominet.

This is most likely due to having multiple domains associated with one account, which is quite common. You will need to check with Nominet as to why this is and they should be able to assist you with that."

However nominet always claim it is HI that needs to update the system. Its driving me nuts///

bring back the paperform.

Id say this is HI's problem and has nothing to do with multiple accounts etc etc.

They need to modify the 'a1-email' field on all your domains, that is the main admin address and the one that's used to access your Nom account.

If they try that and get an error then it may be a problem at Nominet, I doubt they will get an error though!

If they're doing it with EPP then I guess it's this field that needs changing:

<contact:email></contact:email>

Thanks. I have asked them to do this now for the 15th time...and still they refuse to reply properly. its not good service from Heart Internet.

Thinking about it, they should be able to do this with one email via the automaton using the BULK command.

Example:

operation: bulk
filter: a1-email = 'your old email address here'
update: a1-email = 'your new email address here'
