and i must admit my first visit was last night, well early this morning about 3.30am but it wouldnt let me in :roll: it said i couldnt be checked as a spammer as the service was unavailable

I have a strong anti-spam script running, it blocks hundreds of fake spam accounts, sometimes it trips normal people up but if they are serious about joining the community they try again or contact me for help.

My script doesn't block by country, although some email accounts are blocked at the country level (.ru mainly).

17 separate new account registration attempts yesterday alone from spammers..

Ho i know what a pain spammers can be, like i said before, i have a large forum of my own (completely different subject) and we have the same issues, but i wont risk loosing or restricting new members for the sake of spam.
we have a good team of mods who keep the forum clear

just my opinion for what its worth but i would have thought that the prime candidates for membership here where experienced domainers, that is surely what you are looking for, but i think a loyt of experienced domainers wouldnt put up with the restrictions etc.
