According to new figures, more children could be members of the social networking site Facebook than previously thought.
The statistics suggest a million youngsters have signed up to the site, despite restrictions aimed at preventing under 13s from becoming members.
Children are often keen to join social networks to keep in touch with their friends but joining a social network can present risks from online bullying to talking to strangers. For parents it can be a challenge to keep up with the different ways youngsters use the site.
