Hi do you have a guide price on this your pms are full

Last call on this one.

The member who offered £30 by PM. You didn't make clear if it was a cash offer or a cash and stock consideration.

How much is the highest offer?

Lot's of chancers but have not really had any serious one's caz to be honest, and with the market for hotel domains only likely to get stronger, no rush to sell and can wait for a motivated buyer.

Haha, that the funniest answer I've seen for ages.

Interested in this, just can't justify £XXXX. If the price goes lower drop me a message.

You've been a member long enough to know that If I wanted a domain appraisal I would have posted the domain under the appropriate section.

( see sales forum rules )

Not saying it's not worth it, just saying if you want an option to sell. I'll take it if the price comes down.

Perhaps you should set a guide price if the low offers via PM are bothering you.

It doesn't matter what you are saying... Don't !
The only thing that is slightly bothering me, if you can describe it as such, is you giving your oppinions on value in a sales thread.
Read the rules.

I'm not giving an opinion on your domain. I'm saying I will take it if the price comes down. Read what I said, tit.

I'll ignore the abuse and put it down to a lack of intelligence.

You said in your post, and I quote,

"Interested in this, just can't justify £XXXX."

That is an oppinion on value, and that's not allowed by the sales forum rules, it's as simple as that, just don't do it, end of story.

I don't really like to get involved in stuff like this especially as its off topic.

But he could have meant he can't personally justify paying £xxxx for it, so it's more what he's prepared to pay .. rather than saying 'you can't justify the price' but hey he could've meant the other too :)

That's how I read it.

Saying if the seller would consider an £xxx offer he would be interested

He didn't say that though did he Ben ?

And there is no reference to £xxxx elsewhere in the thread, so it's his made up figure to apply his valuation.

Although maybe on reflection I am being a bit harsh but it's the thin end of the wedge, I think you have to preserve the purpose of the sales forum, otherwise it turns into a place for debate and not what is intended.

+1 on bensd comments -really don't think Redemption was giving a subjective opinion on value that's against sales forum rules, he was just saying 'this is what I'm willing to pay if the price changes'.....maybe it's escalated since then but on the other hand he's been treated (in my opinion anyway) quite unfairly in another thread so is justifiably likely to be more emotive than would be normal.

I also dont really like expressing personal opinions in these threads but felt the need in this case

It shows he knew the name was likely to be in the £xxxx range, but he wasn't willing to pay £xxxx for it himself, which is a justified comment imo. If anything he is doing you a favour by letting others realise it is likely to be in the £xxxx range instead of them blind guessing as per usual on your names.

If your asking price wasn't in the £xxxx range (if you are saying he made up a £xxxx valuation) I can only assume it was in the £xx,xxx range and therefore would have been better placed in the premium section instead of the "offers invited" section which as you know all too well, attracts stupid time wasting offers such as the £30 you quoted earlier.

Maybe if you gave a rough price guideline to some of your names you post, these situations wouldn't occur, but it always appear to be your threads this happens to, and that has to tell you something.
