Check out this fantastic offer, it is a TM issue domain which apparently is protected by USA fair use law which means you can use it to a certain extent yet apparently it has unlimited earning potential

MICHAEL-JACKSON-DOMAIN-NAME-YOU-KNOW-YOU-WANT

I know we see them all the time on Ebay but this is the best

Just imagine if someone clicked buy it now, didn't pay and for some reason the seller wasn't refunded eBay's final value fee credit... :D

For those of us who have never used eBay before, what does the value fee credit bit mean, and what happens to the seller if someone doesn't pay?

[edit]

I found this on Google:

http://community.ebay.co.uk/question/Selling-Ebay/Whats-Final-Value/1900053960

Which leads here:

http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/credits.html

[edit]

That doesn't help much, as on the outcome of each example there it says:

eBay automatically closes it and you will not receive a final value fee credit.

But doesn't tell me what the value credit fee is.

A final value fee is what the seller is charged for a successful item sale (it's probably still a % of the sale price, although I haven't used eBay for selling in a long time to know whether that has changed to a fixed fee now).

If the sale gets cancelled then the fee gets credited to the seller, i.e. they won't be charged for the sale not happening.

Ahh right, so nothing happens then, I was thinking from your first post that the seller might get hit with a fee :)

My first post was meaning that if eBay doesn't cancel the sale or credit the fee for some reason, the seller would get stung with a huge charge. :D

Unlikely though I guess...

Unfortunately eBay cap their fees. But if it were possible 10% of 5m. Nice.

thing is its not his real registered birth name, that is Michael Joesph Jackson

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Jackson

wonder if anyone will be stupid enough to buy it

It would be insane to buy it what when the middle name isn't spelt right

Seriously though it's never going to happen

michaeljospehjackson.com is registered to the michael jackson company and michaeljoejackson who-is provides a phone number for the registrant, I am dying to ring him and either pretend to be a serious buyer or a law representaive for the Jackson family ;)

Ring him: use justcall for about 1p per minute and have yourself 10 minutes of fun and dine out on the story for a week or two!
