The .co.uk versions are registered to a friend of mine who used it to sell his sports car (site here for info). He did it like a raffle where people bought tickets for £3 each and after he'd sold a certain amount of tickets (or a certain date passed, whichever came sooner) a winner was randomly drawn to win the Alfa Romeo.
He got local media coverage so the domains do still get some traffic even though the raffle has been and gone last year now.
I bought the .coms because he'd not registered them and I didn't want him to lose out on traffic. Now that they're no longer required I'm looking to offload them.
