A suggestion:

Phone 0115 917 0000
Then press option 6

Explain that your e-mails are being ignored and that you are not allowed/ don't want to phone a 09* number

Ask the person you speak to, to send and e-mail to the boss at 123reg:

"Colin Harris @ Pipex.net" I believe?

You don't have to be Sherlock to deduce the two options [with/without a dot between the forename and surname?] for his e-mail address from the above info methinks.

Happy complaining.

In desperation I phoned this number and spoke to a nice young man at Pipex... who I have to say was very helpful and understood my frustration.

I asked for another 123 reg contact number as I can't dial 0900 numbers but he could only give me the 0900 number.

So being smart... I asked him how he would contact someone from 123 reg.
His reply - "easy, they're at the other end of this office"

incorrect telephone number

the number 0115 9170000 is incorrect for 123Reg. This number now belongs to bluecomet-IT, who deal with database development, website design and online marketing. This company has nothing to do with 123Reg or host Europe.

Thanks for clearing up a 3 year old thread

Im guessing they were getting alot of calls! :)

all day Monday to Sunday, starting at 8am until about 11 pm... enough is enough !!!

Maybe you should start offering domain registration? Not found a way to make some money out of it?

You don't happen to have the correct number do you bluecomet...I could do with it right now...

just very frustatrated calls - don't blame them...

we do website design & hosting, so perhaps I should start offering them the service, as you said I should be able to make something out of it !!!

Sorry, don't have a number for them, thier website doesn't have one either. I have sent them an email asking for it so that I can re-direct the calls but have heard nothing back from them yet.

Dial 999 (or better, local police number) and ask for a fraud investigation. This has been raised many times before. Get the police involved and have no tolerance of cheats.

I would not advise dialing 999 for someone calling an incorrect telephone number.:rolleyes:

And what would our sage ex-moderator suggest? Perhaps ring the north pole and ask for the chief elf? Why don't you re-read the phrase in brackets after the tongue-in-cheek 999 suggestion?

I'm amazed that after pages and pages of negative comments about 123-reg that people still use then. However, i moved some .coms from 123 to Heart I've found their service to be bloody dreadful. How any organisation can IGNORE customer support requests is beyond me. Name server changes still don't work. Parp!

I changed from 123-reg to heart about 18 months ago and have had nothing but good service from them (touch wood). They have been v. quick to respond and resolve any probs I've had.

Sorry to hear about their shoddy treatment you have had  what did you do to upset them ?

What do you think the police will do? Please enlighten me
