Watch your backs lads and ladies they're now trying to delete their mistakes.

The two domains in question I regd in Feb anew but three months on and Friday I noticed they still weren't in my account and now I receive this. Their software is right up the spout right across the board. This company scares the crap out of me, I may have to go through all invoices just to check I still own the domains I should.

Cheers
Lee

Dear Customer,

According to our system the following domain(s) have not been
renewed via 123-reg.co.uk and the expiry date(s) have passed.

e69.co.uk (expiry 2005-11-17)
e123.co.uk (expiry 2005-11-17)

You have not chosen to renew them through your 123-reg control
panel (username) and we were unable to auto-renew them
so the domain(s) will shortly be detagged.

This means that 123-reg will no longer be able to manage the
domain and your website and email will stop working. To restore
service you will have to contact Nominet UK.

If you no longer require the domain and would like it cancelled
you should login to your 123-reg control panel and mark it for
cancellation. Doing so will prevent any further deletion notices
being sent for this domain.

Should you require more information, please don't hesitate to
contact us.

Best Wishes,

123-reg.co.uk

i deffinetly dont have time to do that, call a lawyer!

Tip: Everytime I reg a new domain I add it to a DNA Pro file with a list of my portfolio, first to check that the registration has gone through (BEFORE I rush to add it to Sedo or Namedrive - if you add it to Sedo too quick it may appear on their homepage before the registration is secured).

Then I do a "browse website" from the right-click menu option in DNA to make sure the page is resolving (may take up to 48 hours).

It is also easy to run down the "Registrar" column to make sure everything is in your name and keep a eye on renewal dates.

Periodically I export the whole list from 123-reg (manage Domains - View as a list option, then click on "Download entire list as a CSV") or if using a Nominet TAG to registered domains send a list request.

Paste the lists into your DNA file and this will catch any you forgot to put in there directly.

Doesn't take long and it's surprising how many you forget you regged and didn't set up correctly.

I've had troubles in the past where domains are regged to myself, but don't appear in the control panel. Suffering with that at the moment! :(

That's happened to me twice too, a real pain.

I have emailed them and awaiting a response.

Since Pipex bought them, they've been nothing but a real pain in the ass.

So much so, that i've considered getting a tag :O

Had a chat with a Pipex support worker who assured me he would personally take my problems straight to the desk of Colin Harris. He also assured me I'd get a call from 123 support soon. Haven't left my desk now for over a week in case it does happen. :)

Although it's bloody annoying... it's not causing me a serious problem so I think I'll put it down to the eu landrush and ride it out.

I have pulled all my 123 affy links and sent them elsewhere though.
