More than 100,000 people have pledged to work with a campaign to help more people in the UK use the internet.
The drive is part of the “Race Online 2012” campaign which aims to have millions more Britons using computers and the internet by the end of next year. The move is being led by the Government’s digital champion Martha Lane Fox, who was appointed to get the poorest four million people in Britain online in time for the London Olympics. Currently there are nine million Britons that have never used the internet; something both Martha Lane Fox and David Cameron hope to address.
