I don't consider the examples you give as being contrary to normal forum rules. The head in etc. is not good, because of the word, nothing wrong with the meaning but not the best choice of expressing it. So not the best choice, but criticism towards people's opinions is quite OK.
If I think someone is being naïve, deluded or stupid I would say so.

That was just recent personal qualifications, besides my statement was not aim against you, it was aim at all of us to take personal attacks, name calling out of the debate.

If that's how you roll, carry on, it's not my forum, I am just a participating member and that's my opinion.

I think he's joking.

That's the problem though ... people making nonsensical comments from both sides ... is he joking? I've seen much worse serious comments on other forums which is very worrying.

No doubt some positive things that the leave camp have been saying will come true, just as some things that the remain camp claimed will come true ... (and even this statement will be attacked)

BUT if we don't all start calming down and realising that whatever you voted we are on nation, and the only way forward is to work together, stop the attacks, the leavers respect the remainer's point of view and vis versa, there won't be a "united" Kingdom.

===

On a separate note, the petition for a rerun of the vote was started by a leave supporter who is now complaining that the voting on it is fixed.
(Just to be clear here - I am not in support of a rerun, I just find the situation of the petition founder amusing!)

I think it's absolutely pathetic and immature that many of the people who voted remain, now think it's totally acceptable to ignore the result of the referendum or to have another referendum until they get the result they are after. Grow up, and if you don't want to live in a democracy, please leave this country as your not welcome. I voted leave, but if the majority was to vote remain, I would have accepted it and not thrown my toys out of the pram.

One more thing on the EU referendum.
Big businesses who wanted to stay in the EU would have said to Cameron that jobs would be lost in their businesses if we left , they would have been scaring Cameron as he was scaring us.
In the cold light of day, when these businesses look at their future, they will do what's best for their company. They will not ( as Osborne will not carry out his punishment budget ) punish the UK by moving out simply to prove a point.

On the petition, do we know who are signing the petition.
I think one computer can apply for multiple applications, and does it look at the geographic position of the signatory

One more controversial observation on the young vote.
For those that have total faith in expert advice.
The underwriters in insurance companies hugely load the premiums of young drivers.

It's not about the computer, it's to do with the email address - but there is a map:
http://petitionmap.unboxedconsulting.com/?petition=131215

Yes, it is open to manipulation though, but I really do not want to go down the conspiracy road anymore (and I am not ignoring the potential but doubt that it could be swayed that much).

On a separate note, many expats are complaining that their votes were not counted which is being looked in to by the Electorial Commission.

We need to move on, we need to respect both sides of the vote, we need to appreciate that both sides will be surprised at the outcomes (ie that the other side may have been correct in some things) ...

I think he's joking.

Partly, but we all know these things return by salami slicing, one little rule here and there and 30 years later we are all back to where we are now.

There needs to be a rule sent through Parliament right now that says any person who even suggests any foreign rule or foreign court has any jurisdiction over the UK should be immediately imprisoned for treason.

Leave won by over a million vote, can't see any change in the outcome.

Like @markb said, it's done, let's look forward, let's start debating the future, we voted out collectively, there is never 100% satisfaction in any election.

Let start debating what's next...

So you are suggesting also leaving NATO and the World Trade Organisation also then?
By being members of both those organisations the UK has traded some sovereignty over the use of UK troops and trade regulation and arbitration to be members ...

Would make the UK a very isolated place ...

Actually there are nearly 3 million GB citizens living abroad worldwide.

I was just commenting on this as I found it of interest. If you follow my posts you will see that I am also saying "let's move on" ...

I agree with your post, most probably did not care to vote, they might be thinking they should have now, buts it's too late now.

Yes, you are right we should move on and start debating the next face of our new direction.
At the moment we have no effective government, no effective opposition, the whole political system is in a mess.

Seems like a fair point to close this thread. There is one for discussion of what happens next.
